Robert Nunoo

Dr. Robert Nunoo is a trained Colon and Rectal Surgeon and General Surgeon, specializing in laparoscopic and robotic techniques. Dr Nunoo’s specialty interests include colon and rectal cancer, colon polyps, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, and a myriad of anorectal diseases including pilonidal cysts, hemorrhoids, fissures and fistulae. He performs laparoscopic gall bladder and ventral hernia surgeries.

Robert began his medical career in 1998 and has worked at hospitals in Sweden, the UK, Connecticut and Michigan. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Waterbury Hospital, a Yale affiliate, where he served as Chief Resident and went on to complete fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery and Colorectal Surgery Research. Dr. Nunoo was vice chief of staff at Mid-Michigan Hospital, Claire MI (2015). He also served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University.

He shares his knowledge by publishing articles and making presentations at surgical conferences across the country. Dr. Nunoo enjoys playing soccer and badminton, running and mentoring youth. He also speaks five different languages.
