Digestive Diseases

Digestive diseases are disorders of the digestive tract or gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The GI tract is made up of the oesophagus, stomach, large and small intestines. This together with the liver, pancreas, and the gall bladder complete the digestive system. In digestion, food and drink are broken down into nutrients that the body can absorb and use as energy and building blocks for cells.
